If you don't like twin booms models, if you prefer a sport model that looks like a real fighter, you will love our Scorpion.
Scorpion has a unique shape, with its large canopy, two side air intakes, twin fins, undiedral stabs and top fuselage airbrake.
Scorpion is designed with special airfoil, giving very good low speed performance and also high speed with full power. It has very gentle stall characteristics. Perfect for beginners or expert pilots.
Of course Scorpion is fully molded in composite, ARF: model is painted in mold, all bulkeads are glued, all control surfaces are hinged. No gluing is required.
Scorpion has a large canopy for an easy access to radio and fuel tank.
The large fuselage hatch also gives excellent access to the turbine, fuel system and tailpipe.
Radio and engine checking are very easy and perfect for beginner, for safety and for maintenance.
Fuselage hatch is also fitted with an optional airbrake, perfect for short airfields, and looks very nice during landing and taxiing.
Our landing gear has been designed for stronger field operation, with shock absorber struts.
The fuselage is in two parts, with plug-in wings and fin for easier transporting (very important).
Gears are mounted in the fuselage.

IMPORTANT CG location: After extensive testing, the CG location indicated in the manual is too forward to ensure a smooth and consistent landing. We recommend the CG to be anywhere from 150 to 160mm instead of 138mm as indicated in the manual. The new manuals will reflect this change. You should need no lead in the nose or heavy NiCd batteries.

Grass operation: Since most of us do not have the luxury of tarmac fields around us, we found the Scorpion perfectly suited for short grass field operation (300ft). A 2 degree +ve angle of attack will ensure a very smooth rotation on take-off. You can achieve this by using a larger nose wheel or inserting 1/4" ply underthe retract unit.
